Eating outside may be a simple joy, but it’s always a joy nonetheless. The fresh air and novel surroundings offer a unique take on the dinner table and much-needed break from stuffy indoor surroundings. Your family is sure to appreciate such a change of pace; all you need to pull this special occasion together is a bit of planning, a table and placemat plus an air fryer to prepare a healthy summer dinner.
Why a power air fryer appliance? Quite simply, you can’t call anything cooked with a traditional deep fryer that uses artery-clogging oil a “healthy” dish. Consumers who’d like to cut down on calories as well as time spent in the kitchen will soon see that these appliances are one of the best ways to accomplish both of those goals. In regards to staying out of the kitchen during hot summer months, the benefits of an air fryer are two-fold: They cook faster than your conventional oven or deep fryer while giving off very little heat.
Below, you’ll find a recipe for our special blackened chicken dish that we’ve tried for ourselves in our test kitchen. While we’re nearly certain that you’ve had either fried chicken from a deep fryer or baked chicken from an oven, we can guarantee you that an appetizer, main course or even a dessert that has been cooked with an air fryer is going to be unparalleled. Give it a try and we’re certain that you’ll agree!
– 2 chicken breasts
– 3 tablespoons of Cajun spice
– Season the chicken breast generously with the Cajun spice by dredging the breast in the Cajun spice on both sides
– Place the chicken breast into the basket of your air fryer appliance and close. Press the “M” button and scroll to the “French Fry” button and set the time for 10 minutes. Press the “Power” button.
– Once timer is done, remove chicken from the air fryer appliance. Slice the chicken breast and place over your favorite salad or sandwich.
What makes this chicken recipe so special? As anyone who has used a power air fryer will tell you, the crisp taste produced by age-old deep fryers is replicated perfectly here. The difference – and it’s a crucial one – is that no oil is used during the cooking process. Eat healthy while enjoying the outdoors this summer thanks to your air fryer!
